The beginning of the alphabet begins with "A," so here, too, will I begin... with "A"ngels.
In my youth I knew I had a guardian angel, but being distracted by schoolmates and play, it never dawned on me that my angel was my closest friend. Then a woman (who has since passed) shared a true personal story with me. She was a 911 operator who fell asleep while driving home late one night. Before she knew it, she was awoken by a voice saying, "Babe, babe, wake up!" She looked in the passenger seat and saw her uncle. The reality, though, was that her uncle had died some years before. She wholeheartedly believed this was her guardian angel, speaking through her uncle's appearance to prevent her from getting into an accident. What an amazing friend God has given each of us in our guardian angels!
