It is with great awe that I convey the promises surrounding the first Catholic Church (built in Saragossa Spain). This beautiful monument was constructed as a testimony to the glory of the Most High and as a tribute to the patronage of the Blessed Mother.
St. James (the Greater) had it erected, obeying Our Holy Mother's directive. It has been set apart as a house and temple of prayer where the treasures of the Almighty's right hand are distributed if asked with true faith and piety through Our Lady's intercession. To all those who utilize this bountiful means, the Blessed Virgin has promised great favors, blessings of sweetness, as well as Her protection and assistance.
As a pledge to this truth and thus guaranteeing Her aid, Her image was placed upon a column within the church, and remains there today. From the outset, an angel was charged with standing guard at this holy site to fend off the enemies of Holy Mother Church. This marvelous structure shall be preserved, together with the holy Faith, until the end of the world.*
Should we not fall on our knees and thank God for this most especial blessing, where the abundance of His mercy flows through the intercession of Our Lady of the Pillar...
CALL TO ACTION: Imitate St. James in his ready obedience to the Blessed Mother's requests.
