While the world's peace is sought through war (which triggers fear), Our Lady's peace is sought through prayer of the Holy Rosary and reparation for sin (both acts of love).

May 13, 1917
The first Fatima apparition occurs to Sister Lucia and to Jacinta & Francisco Marto. On this very same day, the future Pope Pius XII was ordained bishop in the Sistine Chapel; he later approved the Fatima apparitions while occupying the chair of St. Peter from 1939-1958.
June 13, 1917
The second Fatima apparition occurred. Our Lady requested devotion to her Immaculate Heart through the “First Saturdays” devotion in reparation for sins.
July 13, 1917
The three children of Fatima see a vision of hell and our Blessed Mother said she will come to request the consecration of Russia to her “Immaculate Heart.” This consecration was to be done by the pope in union with all the world’s Catholic bishops.
October 13, 1917
The Miracle of the Sun occurs in Fatima, Portugal.
Thirty-three years prior, Pope Leo XIII had a vision on October 13, 1884... when the aged Pontiff had finished celebrating Mass in his private Vatican Chapel, attended by a few Cardinals and members of the Vatican staff, he suddenly stopped at the foot of the altar. He stood there for about 10 minutes, as if in a trance, his face ashen white. Then, going immediately from the Chapel to his office, he composed the prayer to St. Michael, with instructions it be said after all Low Masses everywhere. When asked what had happened, he explained that, as he was about to leave the foot of the altar, he suddenly heard voices - two voices, one kind and gentle, the other guttural and harsh. They seemed to come from near the tabernacle. As he listened, he heard the following conversation: The guttural voice, the voice of Satan in his pride, boasted to Our Lord: "I can destroy your Church." The gentle voice of Our Lord: "You can? Then go ahead and do so." Satan: "To do so, I need more time and more power." Our Lord: "How much time? How much power? Satan: "75 to 100 years, and a greater power over those who will give themselves over to my service." Our Lord: "You have the time, you will have the power. Do with them what you will."
June 13, 1929
The Holy Trinity together with Our Lady, appeared to Sister Lucia in Tuy, Spain. With the Lateran Treaty just signed a few days prior, Our Lady said the “time has come” to request the consecration of Russia to my “Immaculate Heart” by the Pope in union with all the Catholic bishops of the world. Note that the Lateran Treaty initiated the formation of the end times “kingdom” – a godless empire, including the creation of a counter-Church, and the total transformation of Europe.
August 3, 1931
Jesus informed Sister Lucia that as his priests are following the King of France in disobedience, they will also follow him in misfortune (in relation to not precisely consecrating Russia to Her Immaculate Heart -- see blog on "A Salutary Warning").
January 25, 1938
An unknown light appears in the sky over Europe/North America and marks the beginning of the 2nd Fatima prophecy -- if men do not heed the Blessed Mother’s message, a greater war will break out…
December 26, 1957
In an interview by Father Fuentes with Sister Lucia, she stated that the Most Holy Virgin did not tell me that we are in the last times of the world but she made me understand this for three reasons:
1) The first reason is because she told me that the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Virgin. And a decisive battle is the final battle where one side will be victorious and the other side will suffer defeat. Hence from now on we must choose sides. Either we are for God or we are for the devil. There is no other possibility.
2) The second reason is because she said to my cousins as well as to myself that God is giving two last remedies to the world. These are the Holy Rosary and Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These are the last two remedies which signify that there will be no others.
3) The third reason is because in the plans of Divine Providence, God always, before He is about to chastise the world, exhausts all other remedies. Now, when He sees that the world pays no attention whatsoever then, as we say in our imperfect manner of speaking, He offers us with a certain trepidation the last means of salvation, His Most Holy Mother. It is with a certain trepidation because if you despise and repulse this ultimate means we will not have any more forgiveness from heaven because we will have committed a sin which the Gospel calls the sin against the Holy Spirit. This sin consists of openly rejecting with full knowledge and consent, the salvation which He offers. Let us remember that Jesus Christ is a very good Son and that He does not permit that we offend and despise His Most Holy Mother.
January 25, 1959
75 years from Pope Leo XIII’s vision, John 23rd announces Vatican Council II. Also note… St. John Bosco prophesized in 1862 that “There will be an Ecumenical Council in the next century, after which there will be chaos in the Church.”
By 1960, the 3rd secret of Fatima had not been revealed in direct disobedience to Our Lady’s request!
